Offline earnings are part of the official pitch for The Giant’s Breakfast: your tower keeps working while you are away, so logout timing matters almost as much as live cooking. This Offline Estimator is a planning guide—how to think about downtime—not a guarantee of exact payouts after every patch.

Why offline planning is a tool, not a myth

Live cooking is bursty. You pull, sort, flip, and react to sizzles. Offline time is quieter: the game applies earnings based on the tower you left behind (and whatever caps or modifiers the current build uses). Players who log out mid-panic with a half-sorted queue often return to a weaker claim than players who spend two minutes stabilizing the stack.

Your job before exit:

1. Stop buying chaos. Finish or clear risky in-progress cooks when you can.
2. Note current money per second (M).
3. Estimate hours away (H).
4. Decide whether tonight is a pure offline night or a “claim then grind” morning.

Simple downtime model

Use this napkin math, then validate against your next morning claim:

Rough offline value ≈ M × 3600 × H × efficiency

• M — money per second shown before logout.
• H — hours until you expect to return.
• efficiency — a caution factor between 0 and 1. Start at 0.5–0.8 if you do not know caps; many tycoons soft-cap long AFK windows. Raise the factor only after you personally measure a full night.

Example: M = 25, H = 8, efficiency = 0.6 → 25 × 3600 × 8 × 0.6 ≈ 432,000 money of planning expectation. If you wake up to far less, lower efficiency next time or assume a cap. If you wake up close, your model is usable for that patch.

Never treat a YouTube thumbnail number as your M. Read your own HUD.

Logout readiness checklist

Run this list in order:

• No confused food sitting on the wrong station if you can avoid it.
• Tower recently gained clean stacks (see Stack Tower).
• Money/sec feels stable for at least a short cook block.
• You are not mid-event decision you will forget overnight—skim Events Guide.
• Codes claimed for the day if any are live on the Codes Hub.
• You know tomorrow’s first action: claim offline, then cook, or claim then redeem a new code.

If half the boxes fail, spend five more live minutes. Offline rewards a tidy exit.

Choosing hours away

Event and rarity interactions

Limited-time events can change whether you should push live or leave early:

• If an event boosts cook speed or rarity odds, you may want live time first, then offline on a stronger tower. Read Events Guide and Event Changelog.

Morning return routine

A clean claim routine prevents wasted offline value:

1. Claim offline earnings immediately.
2. Note the amount versus your sketch; adjust efficiency.
3. Check Codes and Discord-linked news via the Links Hub.
4. Set a live primary target in the Stack Planner.
5. Cook one warm-up block before big lever spam.

Skipping straight into panic pulls after a big claim is how players burn the advantage offline just created.

Common mistakes

• Logging out during a messy sort because “offline will fix it” — it will not teach the tower good habits.
• Assuming linear earnings across three days without measuring caps.
• Using someone else’s money/sec screenshot as your M.
• Ignoring codes that expire overnight while you AFK.

When to stay live instead

Stay in the server when:

• You are two mistakes away from understanding a station rule.
• An event timer ends soon and rewards live participation.
• Your money/sec is spiking after a rarity upgrade and another twenty minutes would multiply tonight’s offline base.
• You still need to set tomorrow’s Stack Planner line.

Offline is a multiplier on preparation, not a substitute for learning the griddle and toaster.
